“The thing about New York City, and probably any city, is that it gets smaller every single day. There’s nowhere left for me here, nowhere new- every street corner holds the memory of every other time I’ve been there, and suddenly I understand why every single one of my friends decided to go to college out of state. Don’t get me wrong, I love Manhattan, I really do. But it’s entered my bloodstream, and that’s not always a good thing. New York City is poisoning me from the inside out, smothering me with memories, and one day I won’t be able to take it anymore and I will be gone.”
